MotorCity sports a large selection of bars and lounges. However, since it is near the exit, it is a 'no alcoholic beverages' zone. Motorcity does have non-smoking gaming that is completely separated from the main gaming floor (it is near the entrance of the casino), so you won't have to worry about the smell of smoke at all. My advice is visit the 1st level of the casino. They also do a great job at hiding penny and 2 cent slots.
Now, I will admit that it does take some time to find the 'loose' slots. There is a large variety of slots and table games are a really big deal here. I believe that has the largest floor out of the three casinos. The overall atmosphere is pretty awesome as well- you'll feel like you're in Vegas. Even on Saturday nights it's quite easy to find parking. First, parking isn't as a much of hassle here as it is at MGM or Greektown. It's probably the closest to a Las Vegas experience as you can get in Detroit.
